Making Music with Special Children
Our popular two-day courses are packed with practical music-making ideas for people working with children who have complex needs. We have a proven track record in designing hands-on, stimulating and enjoyable training for those working with children who have serious illness or disabilities.
The course is equally suitable for people with no formal musical training and for those who have some experience: whatever level you’re at, you will go away with plenty of ideas to put into practice in your work.
‘All of it was fantastic – amazingly inspirational’
In order to make the course as accessible as possible, we heavily subsidise the cost. You get both days for just £80 (and that even includes refreshments and lunches!). Below are the dates of our 2014 courses.
York: Thursday 20th and Friday 21st November
London: Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th November
For more information see our training course leaflet.
Jessie’s Fund, with its proven track record in delivering stimulating music training, is offering one day workshops to staff in schools for children with special needs. These workshops take place in your school and are open to all: those without previous musical training are at no disadvantage! Typical topics covered are:
- exploring musical instruments
- working with pulse and rhythm
- musical conversations
- music tailored to the needs of children in your school
I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. I have learnt so much and
have gained confidence in an area in which I had so little.
Thank you for a fantastic course!
