Oma Goodness! Austrian Magic in an English Kitchen
By Rosl Schatzberger, with a foreword by Victoria Wood and illustrations by Yvonne Wise, this is a collection of the author's favourite recipes, most of which are typical of Austrian family cooking. Rosl spent her childhood in pre-war Vienna, and along with the 200 or so recipes shares anecdotes and memories spanning some 70 years. Jessie, the inspiration behind Jessie's Fund, was Rosl's granddaughter and called her 'Oma' - the Austrian word for Granny - hence the book's title.
