Applying to Jessie's Fund

applyIf you would like to apply to us for help, there are certain criteria which should be met:

  • The purpose of the application should be aimed primarily at children with long-term illness or disability.
  • If musical instruments are requested it should be demonstrated that children will be guided and encouraged in their use by informed carers. Where there are no carers with any former experience, we can offer training workshops.
  • If funding for a music therapist's fees in an organisation is requested, it must be demonstrated that there is a commitment to continuing with music therapy after the term of Jessie's Fund support has come to an end. We may support a percentage of a music therapist's fees for a period of up to three years. You will need our application form JF 233, which can be downloaded here.
  • If funding for music therapy sessions for an individual child is requested, download our application form JF 232 here.
  • If you require funding for a creative music project the application form you need is JF 234. Click here to download it.
  • Applications should give as much information as possible about your organisation, the purpose for which you require assistance, and your existing financial situation. Supplementary material can be included.

If you prefer, we can post the forms to you. We normally consider applications for sums of £1,000 and more twice a year, in May and November. Smaller sums may be considered throughout the year.
