
Where our money comes from
In our financial year ending 31 March 2009 our fundraising efforts drew in £232,837.
- Voluntary income - grants, donations, Gift Aid tax refunds etc raised 76% of our income. Grants from trusts made up almost half of this sum (see below).
- Fundraising activities by our supporters raised 19% of our income
- Investing our funds wisely raised 4%, despite the economic downturn
- Income from charitable activities contributed 1%
And how we spent it
- We spent £235,616, drawing slightly on our reserves.
- 85% was spent on our charitable activities - helping children through music
- Fundraising took 10% of costs
- We spent 2% on governance
- Our modest merchandise activity accounted for 3%
